Everything In One Place
The team was challenged to design a system that can allow the user to store everything they need for coffee in one place: coffee, filter, spoon, and of course a container. The team picked an existing air-tight container and measurement spoon and designed a filter holder insert as a connecting hub to hold everything together. During the process, the team faced many obstacles related to capacity issues and manufacturing limitations. Though the user may rarely need to take the insert out and observe its design while enjoying their peace of mind in the morning, it is amazing to see how much a single open-close shot part can do.
